Do You Have Party Etiquette? To Find Out Read On!

By GuestArticleNo Comments

It’s hard to know when you are supposed to come bearing gifts.  Kick back, relax and read on!

Everyone knows that you must bring a gift to a house warming party, don’t you?  The shame begins when you see party goers bearing a bottle of wine, or fancy wrapped gift.  Why do we do this?

I know it’s hard to think of everything, but consider the person giving the party, housewarming, or social even.  One of the easiest to make the hostess feel special is to bring a gift.  Beverages are the primary option for many.  Wine is a classy choice, but if the hostess’s are not drinkers (or worse, recovering alcoholics), you could be in danger. Unless your guest’s have health problems, or have religious beliefs against it, coffee is a sure fire winner.  You can buy excellent gourmet coffees online that are fresh roasted and reasonably priced (avoid stale stuff from the supermarket.  Making an exotic fruit drink from locally grown fruits is always a stand out alternative!  If you aren’t near produce stands, and you don’t know what to get, the last choice for the beverage category is fruit teas.  Fruit teas, are a sure fire bull’s eye.  There are so many flavors out there, that the skies the limit.  Right now, Constant Comment Raspberry is making it’s way into every batch of iced tea that I create.

By now you’re probably wondering, “what’s up with all the drink ideas?”  So for you, we move on.  Chips and salsa are always a crowd pleaser.  You’ve got salty crunch and spicy twang.  What’s not to like?  Presentation is everything, but don’t go overboard.  You can buy inexpensive, plastic serving dishes at just about any store, or garage sale.  If you ever find a good deal on serving trays, stock up for later.  Make sure you give a card so that they know the plate doesn’t have to be returned at all.

Perhaps food and drink aren’t what you have in mind.  In that event you could bring flowers or a coffee gift basket.  It is always best to avoid hard alcohol, pictures of yourselves (unless you are attending a family event), and work related items.  Include a card with every item so that you get the credit for being the best guest in the crowd!

Mayber you’re still finding it tough to think of a gift, then go check out the coffee gifts from Nectar of Life Coffee.  You can’t go wrong with Nectar of Life.  Not only are they a organic Fair Trade coffee roaster and artisan, but they specialize in organic Fair Trade coffee.
