Plus Women Want Beautiful Lingerie too!

We should really all be realistic - we aren't all blessed with a size-two figure that will fit into whatever is pulled out at random from the lingerie store.  For the rest of us it can sometimes be difficult to find beautiful lingerie for real women. However, if you look for lingerie that will fit and flatter your body then you will always feel good about yourself and how you look!

To disguise those problematoc bulges it can be advisable to wear an opaque dark coloured top with draped fabric. On the other hand, if you go to the opposite end of the scale you will find that light or sheer lingerie won't do you too many favours.  You may also find that adding a pretty necklace will help to draw attention to the upper half of your body.

If you are the sort of woman who isn't blessed with long legs then you will want to choose lingerie that will give the illusion longer legs.To do this, you should choose styles that have a high cut leg to maximize the height of your legs.A short chemise would be an excellent choice.

If you have larger thighs, perhaps you should choose a negligee or a babydoll style that has an element of fullness in the skirt. This could help to make your legs appear less full but do remember to avoid styles that fit tightly against the lower half of the body.

Take your own hair coloursh into consideration when buying lingerie. For example, if you have blonde or light coloured hair then pastel pinks or a light baby blue will match well. For you brunettes, rich maroon or bright primary colours will look great.Do bear in mind the rule of thumb that bright colours make a plump body look larger, whilst darker colours give the illusion of a smaller size.

Buying Lingerie for Real Women

We are bombarded with images of stick thing women modelling lingerie so it can be easy for ladies to be fooled into thinking that buying plus size lingerie for real women will be a difficult task. This couldn't be further from the truth as sexy lingerie that is available in regular size is more often than not available in plus sizes too. Here are some useful tips for when you are out shopping:

First and foremost it is important to go for the best fit and remember to get measured if you think you need to as everyone’s size can change from time to time. You may find that fit can vary from brand to brand so it goes withouth saying that you should try items on so that you know you are getting lingerie that you know you are comfortable wearing. Most importantly of all they should fit well and of course they should make you look great otherwise what's the point?

You can easily create a smooth look by wearing a simple body shaper.Be wary that they wont always be slimming as they may give a slimming look in one area and then produce bulges in areas where there were none before. However if you buy the right one then it can really make your clothes look better on you so it's well worth trying on several before you buy one.

You should play up to your best features. Most plus sized lingerie combines both a practical and sexy look so for example, if you wished to accent your breasts then you will be able to find a gown that is low cut and supportive.  You should be able to find specialist plus size stores – particularly online – so whether you are shopping for bras, camisoles, panties or even swimwear you should be able to find someone that can cater to your needs.

Plus Size Swimwear can be Beautiful!

According to recent market research, the women's plus size market is one of the fastest growing retail sectors and it is easy to see why.It would seem that women want to shun the unrealistic and - some might say - unhealthy size zero culture.  So when the summer months arrive, what is the best way to choose swimwear for real women?

When selecting your plus-sized swimwear there are several tricks that can disguise problem areas whilst at the same time enhancing your best features. As an example, draped fabric can conceal bulges and swimsuits with cris-cross design elements can give your waist the appearance of being smaller as well as providing additional body contours.Larger frames can be made to appear slimmer by choosing swimwear that has a deep v-neck.For the type of lady with a smaller bust and larger hips, this can be balanced with a swimsuit that features a colourful printed top as well as choosing a darker coloured skirt or beach short for the bottom.

The best time to go out and shop for your swim suit will always be at the beginning of the season.  By shopping around May or June, styles will be new and shops will have their shelves well stocked. When shopping round for a new swimsuit you should avoid trying on a new bathing suit after you have just eaten a meal or during your menstrual cyclen.Correct colour is also a hugely important consideration as black, dark brown and blue are slimming to the eye.  Don’t be taken in with the old myth of the larger woman not being able to wear stripes – women of all sizes can carry of stripes, patterns or bold colours as long as the fit of the swimsuit is flattering to their particular body type.

So the ideal plus-sized swimsuit would flatter the wearer whilst at the same time hiding problem areas and supporting the bosom. There's no reason why all the thin women should get the nicest clothes!
